Since 2004 APDO has championed the role of Professional Organisers, helping thousands of people to clear their clutter. I’ve always been passionate about the importance of continuous professional development so I can do the best possible job. I am excited to let you know I’m now joining the Training Team responsible for training Professional Organisers.
National Organising Week (NOW)
APDO is running a third annual National Organising Week from 7-13th November 2016 focussing on organising your home.
During National Organising Week I’m running a Decluttering Workshop for just 10 people in South East London. If you want to kick-start your decluttering and be ready for Christmas this would be perfect for you. The workshop costs around the price of a single hour session with Free Your Space. (It’s also a great pressie option for a friend/ family member which won’t create clutter!)
Donate a Day
I’m also very excited to be volunteering my services on the 8th Nov for an amazing organisation called Dress for Success. They work with women who experience many forms of disadvantage and are about to attend an interview. They provide professional clothing, and interview training to ultimately help women believe in their own ability to succeed. One in two of the women they help gets the job.
There will be at least 5 other APDO members working with me on the day. (My suggested collective noun- a‘Tidy of Professional Organisers’?!)
If any of your unwanted clothes/ accessories are suitable for interviews, please do bear this charity in mind.
National Organising Week is a great opportunity for you to stop and think about the mental and physical clutter you are living with. It’s a chance to consider how you are using your time and APDO hopes to inspire the UK to take action to tackle things – NOW.
