Re your question - I&#039;m wondering how you&#039;re currently supporting your child with this? In general terms our emotions come from an unconscious part of our brain. So regulating involves first being aware (&quot;you had a bad dream&quot;), then by getting our thinking brain activated in some way (concentrating on &#039;doing&#039; something takes focus away from feeling).
